your situation was even worse than mine... It's a pity that parents had a row on their child's birthday. It was very thoughtless of them to behave like that. They must have hurt you on your special day :( it's good to know they are OK now :)

Yes, I have an acoustic guitar and later I bought the electric one :D as far as songs are concerned, I can play "Five Years", "I know", "Meds", "Nancy Boy", "Evil Dildo" by Placebo, then I know "Stop Crying your heart out", "Live Forever", "Wonderwall" by Oasis. I used to know "Karma police" by Radiohead but I forgot it :/ overall it's not that many songs. But I'm keen on learning more :) my worst birthday was the 13th one. It happened that the day was on a week day, not at the weekend, so I didn't think that someone would come on the weekend. Anyway, I went to my friend to hang around :D she suggested to get our sledges and have some fun going down the hills. Because of that I had to wear not very neat and tidy clothes. So as we were going to her garage, my mom called and told me to come back home because someone wanted to meet me. I was really confused. My friend came with me. Apparently it was my grandma and my cousin. I hadn't met them before because my parents divorced when I was a baby. It was quite shocking to meet these people because I didn't know neither how to behave with them nor how to talk with them. To make matters worse, I was wearing scruffy and dirty jeans and my hair was a mess. Actually, not the best appearance to make a good first impression. Even now when I remember this I feel embarrassed. They must have thought I was kind of a jerk, you know. Anyway, what about you? Do you play any instrument? What was your worst birthday? :)

I think that "You don't care about us" demanded lots of creativity to reveal at least one of the ideas of the song. "20 years" is also quite artistic. It showed that time was passing by very fast.
The best gift that I have ever received is my first guitar. Although it is not very good (it's almost impossible to play it because it's not of a high quality) but I still love it. I got it on my 15th birthday. Overall I don't enjoy celebrating birthdays. They remind of how fast we grow old and inevitably go into the direction of death. "Teenage Angst" illustrates this very well. That's why one of my favourite quotations is "since I was born I started to decay". Indeed I'm not a birthday celebrator :D what about you? what's the best gift you ever received? Do you like birthdays? :)
"The Bitter End" was the first video of Placebo that I saw. However, I went absolutely mad when I saw and heard "Nancy Boy". So far it is one of my top favourite songs. I have never got bored with it :D "Pure Morning" is awesome as well, I think this song shows the real beauty of Brian's voice :)

I'm a fan of Placebo since I was 14- so it's 4 years since I heard them for the first time. "Every Me Every You" just charmed me... :) What about you? When did you start to listen Placebo? What was the first song you heard? :) Psychology is cool, I know a couple of people who study this course and they are really happy! As for medicine, I don't know how to explain my choice.. I wanted to become a doctor since I was 12 years old. Medicine is very interesting and I like to keep my brain busy :D as for me, I'm not afraid of blood, yesterday I spent a whole day with my aunt, she's nurse, so I was able to see all kind of procedures and I didn't get shocked at all. By the way, how old are you? :)
